Background of Ichigo's Sword

Ichigo Kurosaki is a human shinigami hybrid soul reaper and the main protagonist of the anime and manga series Bleach. As a human with shinigami powers, Ichigo is considered to be extremely special, which earned him the rarely used title "Substitute Shinigami". Originally recruited by the soul reaper Rukia to protect his home town from corrupted souls known as Hollows, Ichigo uses his superhuman spiritual strength (his soul), represented by his Zanpakuto sword "Zangetsu" to fight for justice. Facing many challenges during his adventures Ichigo releases increasing amounts of spiritual energy, imbuing his sword with even more power to form the Bankai: Tensa Zangetsu (Final Release: Heaven Chain Slaying Moon).

This Ichigo Bankai sword is capable of executing an enhanced Getsuga Tensho, an extremely powerful technique that is highly destructive and creates large-scale damage. This Ichigo Bankai is considered to be so dangerous that Yhwach (emperor of the Wandenreich) prioritizes breaking the activated Bankai immediately. The Tensa Zangetsu is a large, black katana style sword (nodachi) with chains representing Yhwach's remaining influence on Tensa.

Our carefully crafted real sword is inspired by Ichigo's katana, including the carbon steel blade (toshin) and its iconic shaped guard (tsuba). This metal replica of the Ichigo katana is 136 cm long and comes with a wooden sheath (saya). The blade is blunted and an ideal home decoration or cosplay photoshoot accessory.
